With a Pro-Version ShieldBox delivered to my own door, I dissected its contents and strongly determined I would stand behind the shield.
Sorting the Contents
Upon opening the nicely labeled and logoed white ShieldBox, I was immediately met with a contents card. This informative addition included a lineup of gear in the box, along with their descriptions and retail prices. It displayed the Standard edition contents, as well as the Pro edition with the added item(s).

I then explored the contents. Inside was a black, tactical baseball cap with an adjustable backstrap, which was most welcome. I viewed a sealed handcuff/magazine Kydex belt holster, a tourniquet holder, and a Tactical Mic Klip 2 attachment unit.
Since I was sent a Pro version, my addition item was a Bear Ops Nekama folding knife. This treat was tucked on the bottom and definitely elevated this box’s value. In all, the box held five items with a combined cost (if bought separately) of nearly $189.00.

Here’s the category that truly matters as to whether you choose this monthly service or not. Poor quality gear, especially in the realm of law enforcement, is unacceptable. I’m confident to say, however, that the ShieldBox didn’t exhibit this problem one bit.
The Kydex cuff and mag holder offered dense thermoplastic with a hardcore belt attachment. Many times, inferior clips crumble at even the slightest pressure. This one was solid to its core. The cap exhibited thick fabric and reinforced stitching, while the tourniquet holder was highly resilient, even under my constant forceful stretching. The folding knife from Bear and Son Cutlery was the crème de la crème, with smooth deployment, refined curves, and a blade with ready-to-use sharpness.

The beauty of this assortment was that it didn’t consist of second or third-tier brands, but rather trusted companies that consistently deliver high performers in their respective product categories.

A fear many people may have when opting for a monthly box is that, no matter the theme, it might be filled with useless fluff to meet the box’s item quota. It’s a fair concern, and I’ve experienced that exact disconcerting result many times before with various themed kits. However, I can put minds at ease by saying that ShieldBox has no such bait-and-switch.
I found all the included items had purpose and would be items that I could incorporate regularly. For example, the cap and the knife I would wear and carry daily. The cuff and mag holder, the radio attachment device, and the tourniquet holder are tactical-ready gear for instant law enforcement use. Fluff? Absolutely not, only useful gear that would definitely be used habitually.
