Smith & Wesson is expanding its Performance Center Carry Comp lineup with a chambering a lot of shooters have been asking for: 10mm Auto.

Announced January 13, 2026, the new Performance Center M&P 10mm M2.0 Carry Comp blends serious horsepower with recoil-taming features designed to keep the pistol controllable and shootable in real-world use.

MSRP $699.

Built around a 4-inch barrel, the Carry Comp uses Smith & Wesson’s Power Port™ system at the 12 o’clock position to vent gas upward. The goal is straightforward. Reduce muzzle rise and felt recoil, especially important when dealing with a full-power 10mm load.

For shooters who like the idea of 10mm performance but don’t enjoy fighting the gun, this feature is doing a lot of heavy lifting.

Capacity lands at 15+1, putting it squarely in the practical-carry category while still offering enough onboard ammo for defensive use, home protection, or even duty as a woods sidearm. That versatility is clearly part of the design intent, especially for those who want one pistol that can pull double duty between daily carry and field use.

The slide is optics-ready and features Smith & Wesson’s new ClearSight™ Cut, which redirects gases away from mounted red dots. That’s a small but meaningful detail for anyone who’s ever had their optic lens fogged or dirtied during rapid fire.

Shooters sticking with irons aren’t left out either. The pistol ships with an Ameriglo® Trooper front night sight paired with a blacked-out, serrated rear for a clean, high-contrast sight picture.

Externally, the pistol wears a gray Armornite®-finished slide with aggressive front and rear serrations, making manipulations easier under stress or adverse conditions. Internally, the flat-face trigger is tuned for consistency, and the pistol ships with four interchangeable grip inserts, allowing shooters to tailor fit and feel.

Like the rest of the Carry Comp series, the 10mm version strikes a balance between shootability and performance rather than chasing extremes. It’s not trying to reinvent the platform. Just refine it in ways that make sense for people who actually run their guns.

For shooters who want 10mm capability without giving up control, the Performance Center M&P 10mm Carry Comp looks like a serious option worth a closer look. Learn more HERE.
