BlackPoint Tactical Introduces Level-2 and Level-3 Duty Holsters

BlackPoint Tactical has entered the professional-duty market with its first Level-2 and Level-3 retention holsters, designed for law enforcement, military, and armed professionals who prioritize secure carry and consistent draw performance.

The new line includes the Enhanced Duty Holster (EDH) and Slick Duty Holster (SDH), both built around a modular retention system and adaptable mounting options.

The EDH is the Level-3 configuration, combining three layers of weapon security:

• Adjustable Friction Retention
• Automatic Ejection Port Lock
• Auto-Rotating Hood

These features work together to balance retention with accessibility. The design allows users to maintain a full master grip while releasing the retention mechanisms.

The SDH is the Level-2 version, using two retention systems: friction adjustment and an ejection port lock. It shares the same frame geometry as the EDH, offering a similar draw stroke with one fewer layer of retention for users who need quicker access.

Both holsters incorporate several of BlackPoint’s newer design elements:

• Master Grip Retention System: Maintains a natural firing grip during the draw sequence.
• Patent-Pending SHIM System: Adapts one holster body to multiple weapon lights, reducing the need for duplicate rigs.
• Retention Lever Overdrive + Lever Extender: Aids in consistent release under stress.
• Optional Optic Cover and Barrel Plug: Provides flexibility for both light-bearing and standard setups.

The EDH and SDH are Made in the USA and Berry Compliant, offered in Black, Coyote, OD Green, and Basketweave finishes. Mounting options include Safariland QLS, True North Concepts MHA, Blackhawk, and Blade-Tech platforms.

Light-bearing versions accommodate SureFire X300 and Streamlight TLR-1 and TLR-7 models.
