In celebration of their 80th anniversary, Weatherby has released a commemorative Mark V rifle. This rifle’s concept is based on the company’s founder Roy Weatherby’s motto, “Tomorrow’s Rifles Today”, which is embodied in combining traditional materials like the exhibition-grade walnut of the stock with modern ones like the carbon fiber barrel wrapping and the titanium used in making the action.

The Mark V titanium action has a satin finish and is engraved along with the bolt sleeve and knob. The rifle is, of course, chambered in a Weatherby cartridge, the .300 Weatherby Magnum. The stainless steel bottom metal is also engraved, with the 80th anniversary logo prominently displayed on the floorplate. The magazine capacity is four rounds.

The exposed metal sections of the carbon fiber-wrapped barrel, as well as the Accubrake DST muzzle brake that the rifle comes with, are also engraved. The barrel length is 24 inches and the twist rate is 1:10”. The company guarantees sub-MOA accuracy.

The Monte Carlo stock has a hand-rubbed oil finish, skip-line checkering and features rosewood caps with maple spacers on the grip and forend. Weatherby’s signature maple diamond is embedded in the grip cap. The length of pull is 13.5”. The overall length of the rifle is 47” and it weighs 7 lbs 10 oz.

The price of the Weatherby 80th Anniversary Commemorative Mark V Rifle is $12,499. It is currently available for preorder with an estimated start of shipping in November/December 2025. These rifles will have custom serial numbers and will be shipped in a custom-fit hard case. Also included with each rifle is a vintage Weatherby ammunition box styled after the mid-20th-century Weatherby ammo packaging.
