Griffin Armament have released a new adjustable AR-15 gas block designed with simplicity and ease of use in mind. With only two gas settings, this new gas block allows for quick adjustment of the system for shooting suppressed and unsuppressed. The adjustments are done from either side of the gas block by rotating the disc-shaped adjustment plate.

It has long been our belief that the ideal AR-15 should have 2 simple modes – Normal and Suppressed – affording a K.I.S.S. concept optimization for use with and without suppressors, easily adjustable by means of the tip of a live round of 5.56mm ammunition. The Griffin Adjustable AR-15 Gas Block achieves this simplicity and is a product made possible by the acquisition of two patents from MicroMoa LLC – the original manufacturers of the “Govnah gas block”.
The Griffin Adjustable AR-15 Gas Block is made of heat-treated 416R stainless steel with a black oxide finish. It has a .750” barrel journal diameter and works with straight gas tubes only. The regulator plate is made of heat-treated 17-4 steel. The regulator plate detent mechanism consists of a 718 Inconel spring and a ceramic ball bearing to withstand the high temperatures.
The gas block can be secured on the barrel via screws or a pin. Depending on the chambering, gas system length of your firearm and the suppressor design you plan to use (conventional or Low Back Pressure (LBP)), you’ll need a regulator plate with specific gas hole sizes.
