Reptilia now has the 30mm ROF-90 TALL available and shipping. It’s a new mount in their Ruggedized Offset Optic Mount (ROF) line, designed for 30mm magnified optics. The mount positions a mini red dot sight at 12 o’clock for fast transitions and straightforward aiming. In case you haven’t tried this solution on your long-range shooter or DMR rifle, I can highly recommend it for a heads-up aiming experience. Also, don’t underestimate that it looks cool, and gives you another reason to go to the range to zero your gun.

Reptilia Corp. @ TFB:

  • Reptilia Launches New Ambidextrous Charging Handle for AR-15 Platform
  • POTD: G-Plated Glock 43X – Reptilia Corp
  • Reptilia RMR Mounting Options For 30mm Optics

I know a lot of top shooters don’t need or use it, but for me, it’s been a great help to find my next target on the course of fire.

This model offers increased height to accommodate taller and larger elevation turrets, ensuring compatibility with a broader range of low-power variable optics (LPVOs) and precision scopes. In fact, I’ve sometimes chosen a low-height turret on my main riflescope to get a free line-of-sight for my secondary optics, with this product, my choice of turrets increases.

The Reptilia 30mm ROF-90 TALL is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Reptilia AUS 30mm Mounts and the Geissele® Super Precision 30mm Mounts. The red dot compatibility is for Aimpoint® ACRO P1 & P2 and the Steiner® Optics MPS.

Product Specs:

  • CNC-machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum
  • MIL STD Type III hardcoat anodized
  • Made in the USA

The price is $114.95, and you can choose from two types of colors, black or FDE, here.

Do you like to run a secondary red dot in the 12 o’clock position, or is the increased cost or a technical (or tactical) reason stopping you from doing it? Share your experience in the comments.
