The American Association of State Troopers (AAST) has officially launched its 12th annual “Best Looking Cruiser” contest, inviting law enforcement supporters and vehicle enthusiasts alike to help crown the cruiser with the most curb appeal. From coast to coast, 50 states have submitted their best shots and the competition is rolling full speed ahead.
Whether your state flaunts a sleek, modern patrol car or a retro ride with vintage charm, now’s the time to show your pride. Voting is open until Friday, July 11, 2025, at 12 p.m. ET.
Each voter can cast one ballot per device and the 13 cruisers receiving the most votes will be featured in the 2026 AAST “America’s Best Looking Trooper Cruisers” wall calendar. The first-place winner will earn the coveted cover spot — a photo finish worth bragging about.
The calendars will be available for purchase in October at StateTroopers.org, with net proceeds benefiting the AAST Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to dependents of member troopers. It’s a chance to celebrate law enforcement pride and support trooper families all in one click.
How to vote
To vote, head to SurveyMonkey and pick your favorite state’s cruiser from the dropdown list.
You can also access the survey link through StateTroopers.org or the AAST Facebook page. Only one vote is allowed per device.
More than just a good-looking ride
Beyond the visual appeal, the contest shines a light on the professionalism and pride troopers across the U.S. bring to their agencies and their communities. It’s also a creative way to engage the public, offering a glimpse at the diversity of law enforcement fleets and the environments they patrol.
So buckle up, check out the contenders and make your voice heard. May the sharpest cruiser win.
Who won the “Best Looking Cruiser” in 2024?
The Florida Highway Patrol claimed the crown in last year’s contest with a bold photo of its black-and-tan 2019 Dodge Challenger cruiser set against the dramatic backdrop of a Delta IV Heavy rocket launch at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
The creative shot helped secure nearly 29,000 votes, edging out the Kentucky State Police and landing Florida on the 2025 calendar cover for the second year in a row. The FHP is currently in the lead for the 2025 “Best Looking Cruiser.”
