“Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for mourning the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is observed on the last Monday of May. It is also considered to be the unofficial beginning of summer.”
Is one definition of what Memorial Day is.
Another is, “The day we remember the sacrifices of our Nation’s men, women, and even children to protect the freedoms and lives of the rest of us.”
It’s not about BarBeQue, or baseball or going to the beach.
It is about taking a day to remember and contemplate, all of the people who have gone on before us to our Creator, before their time.
In order for the rest of us to live out our lives in peace.
So please take the time to actually remember, and if you believe in your soul, please say a prayer as well.
