concealed carry or self-defense is never-ending. I can see why. On one hand,.22s are easy to shoot for almost anyone, and most everybody will shoot a .22 faster and more accurately than a larger caliber gun. 

On the other hand, while a.22 is certainly lethal, that’s not the goal of a self-defense encounter. The mission there is to stop a threat that is inflicting harm on you as quickly as possible, and.22s do not shine in that particular area.
