After generating buzz in Europe, the anticipated Sauer 505 bolt-action rifle is now available in the United States.

J.P. Sauer and Sohn’s latest release combines precision engineering, versatility, and a touch of elegance, catering to hunters and shooters seeking reliability in the field.

The Sauer 505 offers a choice of four stock options:

• Walnut (Grade 5) for a classic look,
• Traditional synthetic for durability,
• Synthetic thumbhole for ergonomic control, and
• Carbon fiber for ultralight performance.

The rifle’s skelatonized steel chassis keeps weight down without sacrificing robustness. Its cold hammer-forged precision barrels are interchangeable, enabling quick caliber swaps for added flexibility.

• Trigger Adjustability: Shooters can select from four pre-set trigger weights ranging from 0.77 lbs. to 2.75 lbs.
• Manual Cocking System: A safe and quiet design allows smooth cocking and uncocking with minimal thumb pressure.
• Blaser Saddle Mount: The quick-detach optics mount retains zero when removed and reinstalled, an ideal feature for frequent travelers.
• Detachable Magazine: The flush-mounted magazine includes a MagLock safety to prevent accidental drops.

The Sauer 505 is available in a wide range of calibers, from .222 Rem. to .375 H&H, including popular options like 6.5 Creedmoor, .30-06 Springfield, and .300 Win. Mag.

Rifle weights start at approximately 6 lbs. with the carbon fiber stock, offering hunters a lightweight option for long treks.
