Garmin just kicked the laser rangefinder game into the next zip code.

Meet the Xero L60i, a GNSS-enabled rangefinding monocular that doesn’t just tell you distance, it overlays mapping, navigation, and ballistic data right inside the optic. If you’ve ever wished your rangefinder acted more like a handheld GPS, this is it.

The Xero L60i ranges targets out to 3,600 meters (and up to 7,000 meters on reflective objects in ideal conditions) through 7X magnification, while projecting a full-color, high-resolution display directly into the glass. Distance, mapping, navigation cues, it’s all layered into your sight picture via augmented reality.

Garmin calls it the first laser rangefinder with onboard map-based GPS navigation, and that’s the headline feature.

  • Laser Locate™ uses your ranged distance, compass heading, and GPS coordinates to project a waypoint right on the display, then guides you to it.
  • Sensor Locate estimates and marks objects too far to laser directly using GPS, inclinometer, and mapping data.
  • Visual Recall helps you reacquire previously ranged targets when you shift positions.
  • Digital Mapping shows topographic maps and marked points directly in the monocular.

You can push waypoints to the Garmin Explore™ app and sync them with compatible Garmin handhelds and wearables. For serious hunters, SAR teams, wildlife researchers, or long-range shooters, that integration is huge.

Garmin didn’t skimp on optics. The Xero L60i uses fully multicoated, low-dispersion glass and a 32mm objective lens for strong low-light performance and a generous field of view. An ambient light sensor auto-adjusts display brightness for dawn and dusk use.

Ranging accuracy clocks in at:

  • ±0.25 meters under 1,000 meters
  • ±1 meter at max laser range

Animals can be ranged to 2,775 meters, trees to 3,600 meters.

The onboard Applied Ballistics Ultralight™ solver (via AB Quantum app) delivers real-time shooting solutions using GPS position, temperature, barometric pressure, and compass data. Even accounting for Coriolis effect. Archers get a dedicated arrow ballistics solver for angle-compensated range and entry angle data.

  • IPX7 water resistance
  • Runs on two AAA lithium batteries
  • MSRP: $2,499.99

Bottom line? The Xero L60i isn’t just a rangefinder. It’s a navigation tool, ballistic computer, and mapping device wrapped in premium glass. Garmin just raised the bar and the distance.
