Burris Veracity Scopes: Lighter Optics, New Glass, and Updated Turrets — SHOT 2026

Burris is rolling out a fully updated Veracity scope line that focuses on lighter weight, a redesigned optical system, and modern turret features aimed at today’s lighter, harder-recoiling rifles.

According to Burris, the new Veracity has been more than a decade in development, replacing a long-standing model that played a major role in the company’s scope lineup.

The update touches nearly every part of the optic, starting with a new optical system designed to deliver a wider field of view while reducing overall size and weight.

Burris also emphasized a noticeably more forgiving eyebox, paired with nearly five inches of eye relief, to help shooters stay behind the scope under recoil.

One of the most notable upgrades is the new exposed elevation turret Burris calls its Pro-style system. The two-turn turret includes a zero stop and allows users to set zero at virtually any distance.

Shooters can also dial past zero if they choose, adding flexibility for different setups. Burris confirmed that its custom shop will offer optional custom laser engraving on the turret.

This allows shooters to tailor markings to their specific rifle and load.

The Veracity lineup launches with multiple magnification ranges. Burris will offer a 2.5–12× model in rear focal plane, a 3–15× with options in both front and rear focal plane, and a 5–25× model launching initially in front focal plane.

Burris also confirmed the introduction of a new reticle design. This reticle is shown in the image below, thoughI didn’t catch its official name.

Burris designed the new Veracity with modern hunting and precision rifles in mind. As rifles continue to shed weight, recoil management becomes more challenging.

Burris says the extended eye relief and forgiving eyebox help maintain sight picture without forcing shooters into a tight head position.

The result is an optic that’s easier to stay behind during quick follow-up shots or longer strings of fire.

Burris expects Veracity scopes to begin shipping in February. Early units are currently being evaluated by ambassadors and marketing teams, with consumer availability following shortly after.

Street pricing is expected to range from about $850 for the 2.5–12× scope up to $1,199 for other models.
