Big news out of East Tennessee: IWI US is moving its headquarters and major operations from Pennsylvania to Andersonville. The project means 72 new jobs and nearly $16 million in investment.
The firearms maker, known for the Tavor bullpup and Galil ACE rifles, says the move will boost its manufacturing capacity and speed up new product development. CEO Casey Flack called it a “strategic investment in the future of our company, the firearms industry and the local community.”

Tennessee rolled out the welcome mat. Gov. Bill Lee praised the relocation as another vote of confidence in the state’s pro-business climate. Lt. Gov. Randy McNally went further, highlighting Tennessee’s “pro-Second Amendment environment” as a key factor in luring IWI.
The Tennessee Valley Authority, local utilities, and county officials also partnered on the deal. Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank called it “a great partnership” that brings quality jobs to local families.
IWI US was founded in 2012 as the American arm of Israel Weapons Industries, part of the SK Group. The company serves commercial, law enforcement, and military markets. With the move, it’s positioning itself closer to its customer base nationwide.
For Tennessee, the relocation marks another win in drawing firearms manufacturers to the state. For IWI, it means room to grow, expand production, and keep designing the rifles and pistols American shooters know well.
