National Fraternal Order of Police
HOUSTON —A popular first responder patch designer has launched a patch featuring DJ Daniel, a 13-year-old cancer patient who has been honorarily sworn into more than 1,000 law enforcement agencies, the National Fraternal Order of Police announced.
All of the sales from the patches, listed for $13 on Underdog Patch Design’s website, will be given to Daniels’ family, according to the statement.
“Let’s rally behind a true inspiration and remind DJ Daniel that he’s got an entire law enforcement family standing with him,” the FOP post reads.
As of Aug. 5, less than 24 hours after the FOP announcement, the patches are sold out.
The patch features a cartoon image of DJ in uniform and is emblazoned with “Houston Police,” Daniel’s hometown department. The patch is also labeled “Police Officer DJ Daniel.”
