BATH COUNTY, Ky. —A Bath County Sheriff’s Office deputy has died after suffering a medical emergency, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page.
Chief Deputy Burl Wesley Everman suffered a fatal heart attack after responding to a burglary call on Nov. 9, 2024, according to the page. He was taken to the hospital, but could not be resuscitated.
Evermann served in law enforcement for 39 years, including with the Owingsville Police Department and the Bath County Sheriff’s Office. He was survived by his wife, son, three daughters and his mother.
