Joe Biden called half the country’s voters “garbage” Wednesday.
It is a time when presidential candidates normally express their last-minute political views and then get ready to vote themselves. It is becoming more difficult every single day, because the candidates are extremely busy.
Kamala Harris has appeared on six podcasts, mostly smaller ones designed for Democrats, especially folks of color. Donald Trump has done more than a dozen podcasts including the country’s largest, but it’s Joe Biden’s latest podcast appearance that has the whole world talking.
“The only garbage I see floating out there is [Trump’s] supporters,” Biden said Tuesday evening.
That’s right, Joe Biden just called more than half the country’s voters garbage. So much for the Democrats being the party of joy.
Trump learned about Biden’s comments while he was live on stage with Florida Senator Marko Rubio, who read the announcement. Trump told the young warhorse that it is worse than when Hillary Clinton called his supporters “deplorable” a few years ago.
Now, most worrisome is that Trump has nearly been shot twice by those who follow Joe and Kamala’s every word. If they want him gone, there’s certainly someone who will listen and put their comments into action. Thankfully, one of Biden’s nameless press people wrote an apology, which was shared on Biden’s twitter account.
“Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump’s supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbage—which is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That’s all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don’t reflect who we are as a nation,” Biden is quoted as saying.
Joe Biden has probably never even read what he’s now quoted as saying, but there’s no doubt that his life will become easier after election day. He’ll be out either way, and no longer will he be held responsible for Jill’s happiness and daily needs.
Harris isn’t so lucky.
“Here’s how I think about it,” she told a CBS reporter. “I really want to bring our country together.”
Trump, on the other hand, is not in any hurry.
“We’re done with their hoaxing, lying, cheating plundering and stealing,” Trump said at a rally Wednesday afternoon in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. “We’ve got a 400k endorsement from the Fraternal Order of Police — not a single policeman or policewoman has endorsed her. They said she’s grossly incompetent.”
“If God came down from on high and said He would be voting tabulator for the day, I believe I’d win California,” he said.
Finally, Trump thanked those that attended his political rally, and he offered them far more than Biden did.
“We’re garbage? And I call you the heart and soul of America. You’re the people who built America. On November Fifth we’re going to bring our country back to a level we’ve never seen before, when you have a place that you can rely on.”
