FRISCO, Texas — Police1 and Badge of Honor Racing (BOH), an IMSA racing team dedicated to supporting law enforcement recruiting efforts through awareness and visibility, have announced a partnership to bring law enforcement’s recruiting and staffing challenges to light among the general public while connecting law enforcement recruiters with qualified candidates.

Pam Bissell, Badge of Honor’s Founder & CEO, said she started the racing team because she has seen an increase in crime while law enforcement’s ranks are decreasing at the same time.

“We need our law enforcement now more than ever,” Bissell added. “And we need more of them. Recruitment is at an all-time low, and that puts us all in danger.”

Lexipol Media Group will utilize its industry-leading media channels, including Police1, to continue to highlight the recruiting challenges facing police departments and offer practical solutions. As part of its partnership with BOH, Police1 will be instrumental in amplifying the team’s mission, keeping law enforcement informed about team happenings on and off the track, and promoting special recruiting events. Police1 will also keep the law enforcement community informed about the products and services available to them from BOH’s sponsor companies and organizations.

“I can’t think of a better partner to help advance our shared mission of supporting law enforcement recruitment and retention,” said Greg Toritto, vice president of Strategic Partnerships & Solutions at Lexipol Media Group. “Pam and the BOH team are obviously passionate about racing, but they bring an equal level of passion to properly staffing and training law enforcement agencies to keep our first responders, and their communities, safe and thriving.”

Bissell said motorsports reaches an audience that matches the demographics of law enforcement recruiting. “We will be connecting with young men and women who are great candidates for law enforcement,” she added. “We’ll also be working with local and national brands to help spread the message to more people.”

Badge of Honor Racing will race a Ford Mustang GT4 in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The race series schedule will cover 10 different cities across the United States.
