Designed as an upgrade for Gen 5 Glock pistols, the Glock Performance Trigger made its debut at SHOT Show 2023. This trigger package lightens the pull weight, incorporates a flat-faced trigger shoe, and creates a more consistent pull than OEM Glock triggers.

In previous models of Glocks, the trigger bar pulls the firing pin back to where it would hit the connector and release the firing pin. This new design utilized in the Glock Performance Trigger features a sear and sear holder.
Due to this, the sear is actually holding the firing pin to the rear, and as the trigger bar moves across the top of the sear holder, pulling the trigger just pulls the sear down to release the firing pin and set off the pistol.
This new design allows Glock to get a lighter trigger, more consistent pull, and better overall performance while maintaining all of the original safeties.
The trigger pull weight was stated to be around 3.5 lbs and felt reasonably close to that when I tried it out at SHOT Show. While I have come to slightly prefer flat-faced triggers over the traditional curved ones, this change is subtle but appreciated.
While this trigger is not compatible with the slim MOS pistols, the Glock Performance Trigger is available and shipping now with an MSRP of $99 for all other Gen 5 Glock pistols.
While Glock states the Performance Trigger should be installed by a certified Glock Armorer, it doesn’t look that complicated for those who know how to field strip their pistol.
