A relatively new company, GPO (German Precision Optics), has made a splash in high-quality riflescopes and observation optics. However, the company has not had an offering in the reflex optics category—until now. GPO releases its first reflex sight with the new Spectra, and it’s ready to add some competition to the field.

The GPO Spectra Reflex Sight

Constructed of black anodized aircraft grade aluminum, the Spectra features a micro .90-inch-tall x 1.04-inch-wide x 1.6-inch-long, 0.78-ounce profile. The aluminum housing ensures a robust and sturdy build, while the IPX67 waterproofing allows for submersion in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. As a result, the Spectra can handle extreme environments and continue working.

The polymer lens measures 0.87 x 0.63 inches and displays a 3 MOA LED red dot. The dot features automatic brightness adjustments, allowing for a button-free interface. The lowest brightness setting is low enough for use with night vision, while the highest is visible against the sky in bright daylight. Likewise, GPO’s proprietary GPOBright high transmission technology helps keep the dot visible in any environment.

Utilizing a built-in motion sensor, the optic is always ready to go and activates when it detects motion. Likewise, an automatic shut-off deactivates the sight after 1 minute of activity. This helps give the optic a 40,000-hour battery life on a single CR 1632 battery. However, when the battery needs changing, a slide-out side battery drawer allows you to change it without removing the optic.

Side and top-mounted windage and elevation turrets allow you to adjust the sight with a range of 60 MOA. Correspondingly, utilizing tactile clicks during adjustment allows the user to get precise zeroing.

The Spectra utilizes the DeltaPoint/Shield RMS footprint but also comes with a Picatinny mount for any modern sporting rifle.

“All GPO products are the result of decades of market experience, combined with German engineering skills and trusted production partners – all 100 percent tested in Germany,” said Mike Jensen, GPO USA’s owner and CEO. “Any company that manufactures riflescopes and observation optics today must know the shooting sports customer, what they use optics for and precisely what matters to them. That is our mission. And we’ve used this knowledge and experience to design and manufacture the next generation of reflex sights with our new GPO Spectra Reflex Dot Sight.”

The GPO Spectra Reflex Sight is available now with an MSRP of $379.99 each. For more info, please visit GPO-USA.com.
