Its message is clear, “gun rights are human rights.” So, the organization recently returned to Washington DC to speak with Congress. While there, delegates emphasized the importance of the Second Amendment and the work the firearm industry is doing.

The DC Project Fights for Second Amendment Rights on Capitol Hill
September 13-16 fifty-one delegates of the DC Project, representing forty-eight states, traveled to Washington DC. Their purpose? Meeting with legislators from both sides of the aisle to discuss the importance of the Second Amendment.
While there, several of the lady delegates relayed their real-life stories of surviving violent situations because they carry a firearm. Likewise, they detailed the important role the firearm industry plays in firearm education and safety.
DC Project Founder Dianna Muller commented, “This was our fifth fly-in, and it was the most impactful trip we have experienced.”
Muller added, “We built bridges by sharing our personal and emotional stories of violence while emphasizing solutions the firearms industry is spearheading in mental health, school safety, and firearms education.”
In total, the delegates attended more than 135 meetings during the three-day trip. Likewise, they made countless impressions across the city via personal interactions with both residents and tourists.
During their time there, the delegates were treated to a reception hosted by the Congressional Second Amendment Caucus. The caucus is co-chaired by Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY).
At the reception, the DC Project presented its pillars and explained how legislators can partner with the group. This partnership would provide armor against attacks on the Second Amendment.
Also in attendance at the reception was Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), who had this to say:
“This organization of women is a game changer. For years, anti-gun women and politicians have demanded Congress strip away the rights of law-abiding gun owners; the DC Project provides a counter to their misinformation.”
Appropriately, the effort concluded with a rally on the steps of the United States Supreme Court. Very fitting for a rally in support of the United States Constitution and the rights it upholds.
Fighting the Good Fight
Over the past couple of years, it is becoming more and more clear that the Second Amendment is vital. As violent crime surges across the country, more and more examples of how guns save lives are emerging.
While gun control groups and the mainstream media try to deny this fact, organizations like the DC Project are shining a light on it. Specifically, in the case of the DC Project, it is doing so by using personal, real-world examples. It is hard to deny someone their own personal experience.
The DC Project is a non-partisan group that is pushing one universal truth: gun rights are human rights.
