The SIG MPX Pistol Caliber Carbine
The SIG MPX is a short-stroke gas-operated PCC that fires from a closed rotating bolt. The MPX is available in carbine and sub-gun configurations. Many folks hail the MPX as the Heckler & Koch MP5’s equal. Others say the MPX is even better. Time will tell.
From Lancers to THRiLs
Lancer originally provided the branded SIG MPX magazines. The Lancer mags are good quality, but they are quite expensive at 60 to 70 bucks apiece. That cost may be why SIG made the change. The THRiL mags aren’t cheap, but they do cost significantly less than the Lancers. The 35 rounders are $49.99 from SIG. The non-SIG-branded versions will run you $39.99.
THRiL Gives Back
THRiL touts their support for veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. They offer a discount program for those folks and a portion of the company’s profits goes to charities and foundations supporting those communities. THRiL also gives to ensure the longevity of tactical shooting, hunting, and outdoor recreation.
Continued Quality
The new THRil SM9 mags for the MPX continue the Lancer magazines’ reliability. Your MPX will run like it’s supposed to and the mags themselves will last. So, if you have an MPX, don’t let the change alarm you. You can still get high quality mags and now they won’t cost as much. And it just so happens that Gunmag Warehouse carries the new THRiL mags.
