Geissele Super Precision MRO Series Scope Mount

This is the absolute best mount you can get for the Trijicon MRO HD. They also make the same mount for the Aimpoint T2 which I will talk about later.

The Geissele Super Precision MRO Mount is my go-to mounting system.

It is simple and strong and will hold zero no problem. I tend to keep whatever optic I have mounted on a particular firearm there for a while and do like changing optics to different platforms constantly.

For this reason, I do not like quick change mounts. I prefer solid and permanent setups.

This thing is completely rock solid and I use this mount on all of my setups. (if Geissele makes it for that specific optic)

I believe this is truly the best mount available on the market and many other people agree.

Geissele makes this in two different colors also, the desert dirt color looks great in my opinion.

They make different heights too. Absolute co-witness, lower 1/3rd co-witness, and no co-witness.

I recommend going with the lower 1/3rd co-witness due to the fact it is the most comfortable height when shouldering the firearm and you will not have to adjust your head too much searching for the dot.

This mount will work with both versions of the Trijicon MRO. It will also work if you decide to add a magnifier and will not obstruct operation.

EOTech EXPS3

The EOTech EXPS3 has been around for a while and is still one of the best options when adding a red dot.

Technically it is not a red dot and actually a holographic weapon sight.

This major difference is why I recommend this style of an optic to anyone who has astigmatism.

It will still appear very clear and crisp if you have one.

A circle with a dot in the center is what the EOTech EXPS3 uses. I like the single dot for a 9mm firearm. This style of sight is lightning fast for target acquisition and also when transitioning from multiple targets.

The EOTech EXPS3’s have been battle-tested and used by militaries and police departments all across the globe.

The battery life isn’t as good as the Trijicon or the Aimpoint but the huge field of view and the reliability outweighs this.

You do not have to buy a mount separate because the EOTech EXPS3 has the mounting system integrated.

They are heavier compared to most other similar sights, but because the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 is light to start, the EOTech EXPS3 is a perfect upgrade.

This is one of the best accessories you can add to your CZ Scorpion.

Aimpoint T2

The gold standard for the best micro red dot is the Aimpoint T2.

This is the absolute best micro red dot that money can buy. It is perfect for the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 because of how light the optic is.

It comes with 2 lens covers that are now transparent and flip-up.

The glass is of outstanding quality and the clarity of the dot itself is stunning.

The Aimpoint T2 is compatible with all generations of night vision goggles and the popular PVS-14.

The objective tube is on the smaller end and is only 18mm, so people that are used to EOTech-style holographic sights may find this too small.

Aimpoints are known for their insanely long battery life. This optic is no exception with 50,000 hrs of operating time on a single battery.

The dot is a 2 MOA size dot which is perfect for a pistol caliber carbine.

This optic is robust and reliable. It is quick and does exactly what a red dot should do but you can rest easy knowing it will not fail.

The Aimpoint T2 is battle-proven and bomb-proof.

Geissele Super Precision T2 Mount

Just like the Trijicon MRO, Geissele makes a mount for the Aimpoint T2.

The Geissele Super Precision T2 Mount is the best option for mounting an Aimpoint T2.

It is made from type III hard anodized 7075-T6 aluminum, so it is light and strong. With a clamping force of 1,400 lbs.

Geissele is one of my personal favorite companies in the firearms industry, and their quality is second to none.

When searching for aftermarket parts and accessories, the first place I check is Geissele to see if they make the part I’m looking for.

Again, these are produced in 3 different heights. Lower 1/3rd is what I recommend.

Midwest Industries MLOK Handguard Cz Scorpion

Changing out the stock CZ Scorpion Evo 3 handguard is something that you must do in order to build the ultimate firearm.

The Midwest Industries MLOK Handguard is perfect for this.

It is rock solid and is a very strong handguard. This one is 6.75″ so it works perfectly for the 8″ barrel version of the CZ Scorpion.

MLOK is the best mounting option compared to Keymod. It isn’t as strong as a qual rail but for most accessories on the market, they are becoming more and more MLOK compatible.

For mounting a weapon flashlight, tape switch, and an angled foregrip or hand stop, this is the best solution. A vertical grip is not allowed on pistols.

Best CZ Scorpion Weapon Flashlight

Being able to properly identify your target is vital in a self-defense situation. That is why every serious defense weapon must be equipped with a good flashlight.

The best flashlight to accomplish this is the Surefire M600. The next best option is the Surefire ProTac HL.

Both of these will work great.

Surefire M600

This is the preferred setup but it is an expensive setup as well. I like adding this flashlight because of how bright and reliable it is.

The Surefire M600 is the best flashlight on the market today.

These lights are military grade and are also battle-proven.

The beam is extremely bright and can be mounted very close to the center of the bore. An optional Tail Cap Tape Switch can be added for a better tactical setup with momentary on and off.

I recommend mounting this flashlight to your rail with an Arisaka Defense Inline Mount. It is simple and keeps the flashlight very close to the rail reducing the risk of snagging.

If you decide to add the tape switch with the weapon light you will need a mount for the switch as well. The best mount to achieve this is the Cloud Defensive LCS Mount.

It is low profile and has the ability to route the wire under the mount for good cable management.

Streamlight ProTac HL

This light is very good and definitely more affordable than the previous light mentioned. I own a few of the Streamlight ProTac HL flashlights and they have never failed me.

This flashlight is insanely bright and reliable. To add this to your handguard you only need to remove the pocket clip that it comes with and add it to a standard 1″ weapon light mount.

This AIM Sports MLOK Mount works great and it is also a 45 degree offset mount. This will give you more options when mounting your flashlight while keeping it close to the center of the bore.

Again, this will keep your setup clean and prevent snagging.

Best CZ Scorpion Pistol Grip

Upgrading the pistol grip on the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 is also something that I recommend doing to complete your setup.

The standard grip that comes from the factory leaves much to be desired in a pistol grip.

The Magpul CZ Scorpion EVO Grip is a big improvement over the factory grip. The grip angle is more vertical and comfortable when firing.

On the Magpul, the grip texture is better and is more ergonomic. This is an inexpensive upgrade and really does complete the build.

ETS CZ Scorpion EVO 3 9mm 40-Round Magazine

Also, you will need some extra magazines. Why not get the 40 round mags.

ETS Clear 40 RD Scorpion Mags work great and look awesome. I personally like being able to see the rounds through the clear plastic.

They make 30 round ones too but like I said, why not pick up a couple of the 40 round mags.

Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Sling

Finally, a good firearm setup is not complete without a good sling. My preferred sling for all my setups is the Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Sling.

It is a traditional nylon webbed sling but this one offers quick adjustment. I actually own a few of these and they work great.

There are a lot of different color options and camo patterns available.

Final Considerations

If you want to make your firearm more enjoyable and fun when shooting then the accessories and upgrades I mentioned in this article are a must. Not only will it be more fun to shoot, but it will also be a more effective firearm. Even if you are just a firearms enthusiast.

Adding even only a few of these to your kit will upgrade the features. The OEM firearm is awesome and a great platform to build on. OEM parts have a history of not being that great.

Manticore Arms also make some good parts that were not mentioned in this post. Manticore Arms parts have been hard to find, so I left them out, and until Manticore Arms parts become more easily available, I won’t list any.

An extended magazine release and a better charging handle might want to be added for some people. I don’t mind the standard magazine release and I honestly believe how I set this gun up is perfect for home defense as well.

Most people use a pistol for a home defense weapon already so why not have a pistol caliber carbine.

Is the CZ Scorpion worth it?

The CZ Scorpion is an excellent platform and makes a great self-defense weapon and home defense gun. It is compact, and with all of the different configurations, it makes the perfect truck gun as well.

Is the CZ Scorpion better than the Sig MPX?

If you are looking at price alone, the CZ Scorpion is a better deal than the Sig MPX, but when it comes to features and customization, the MPX is better.

Is the CZ Scorpion an SBR?

If you add a stock to the CZ Scorpion pistol it then becomes an SBR. You can get a pistol brace or get a longer barrel if you do not want it to be classified as an SBR.
